Meet Mike Fahrer

Mike, who started working at The Hills Market in October 2007, is a regular fixture on our Chef's Case. He helps keep the kitchen running smoothly, cooks for and fills the Chef's Case, oversees our pizza operations and helps maintain a high standard of customer service in the back of the store. More often than not, Mike is handing out samples of pizza to customers, certain that they'll love it as much as he does. Mike's creativity and passion make him a great team member here at the store.

What He Cooks At Home:
I love to grill. Ninety percent of my cooking involves the grill, even in the winter. I like to grill a whole chicken with a touch of cherry wood for a little smoke flavor, or a nice Chairman's Reserve Filet, or pork chops or shrimp. I always have to have two side dishes with my meals. Many of those side dishes come from our Chef's Case.

What Makes for Great Service: I like to make sure the customer feels welcome, that he or she is greeted with a smile. Great service involves finding out how I, personally, can help them. I enjoy answering questions and doing all I can to make the customer's visit pleasant and enjoyable.

His Hobbies: Lifting weights, playing my guitar and listening to music.

What He Does for New Customers: When I see a new customer, the first thing I do is introduce them to our Pecan Chicken Salad. Always.
